Adawiay J. Haider: She was born in Baghdad in 1969. She had her B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Applied Physics from University of Technology, Baghdad (Iraq) in 1991, 1996 and 2001, respectively. She has become a professor at 18/11/2008. She has research gate h-index 16, Scopus h-index 12 and more than 190 published articles inside and outside Iraq and 10 patents. She was supervised on more than 90 Ph.D and M.Sc. Students. She was having a research group on laser design, semiconducting thin films and nanostructures produced by pulsed-laser deposition (PLD) technique. As well, she is a member of a research group on preparation and characterization of semiconducting thin films by chemical bath deposition (CBD). She has been a member of Iraqi Society of Physics since 1991, Iraqi Society for Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources and Techniques since 2004, and the Iraqi Laser Society since 2004.Recently; she was director of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials Center from 2010 to 2016. Authored nine textbooks for professional high school in the maintenance of laser systems • Contributing to Make program for the plan in 2013 and continuing for the year 2014 to a project continued of the University of Technology and Organization IREX • The work of a preliminary study for the development of international standards research center. She reviewers for many national and international journals (Springer & Elsevier) and works as main chair in the TMRRES 18 conference.

  • She held the position of Head of the Applied Materials Research Unit in 2014, and the position of Head of the Research Center for Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials at the University of Technology for the period 2010-2016, and won the Science Day Award as the best center for the years: 2011,2012,2013,2015 and 2016.
  • She won the Science Day award more than once, by publishing international research in reputable journals more than once.
  • She won the Science Day award as a distinguished professor for the year 2015.
  • She holds many gold and bronze medals for the participation in exhibitions, international and Arab patents for both Germany and Turkey.
