Department logo
Yalow color: It represents the first letter of the word “Sciences” in Arabic and in English.
Blue color: It represents the first letter of the word “Applied” in Arabic.
Green color: It represents the first letter of the word “Applied” in English. The color also indicates the department’s flag elevated over the other letters in the logo.
Orange color: represents the six different scientific branches within the department.
To emphasize the scientific specialty of the department, the logo has six electron orbitals orbiting
the department logo.
Also, the logo state the name of the department in Arabic and in English with the year of
its foundation in 1976.
